Château and Domaine Wedding Photographer around Aix-en-Provence

I photograph weddings between France and California, and Provence is one of the regions I know best. Around Aix-en-Provence, the light, the stone, the cypresses and the long summer evenings give château and domaine weddings a character you do not find anywhere else. My job is to keep up with it, quietly, and to bring back images that look like your day and not like a catalogue.

What a château wedding in Provence really looks like through my lens

A wedding in a Provençal estate rarely fits a single frame. There is the morning in a shaded courtyard, the ceremony under plane trees or in a chapel, the cocktail on a gravel terrace with the Sainte-Victoire in the background, then a dinner that stretches into the night under string lights. I work with all of that: hard midday sun, golden hour on old stone, candlelit tables, and the first dance when the mistral finally drops. The tones stay natural, warm without being orange, so the dress, the skin and the landscape keep their own colours.

I have shot in bastides, wine domaines and full châteaux across the Pays d'Aix, the Luberon and the Var. Each venue has its own logic, its own good corners and its own traps. Knowing them in advance means I do not waste your cocktail hour looking for a wall.

Two families, one day, told honestly

I grew up in a family that has worked in the wedding industry for thirty years, so I did not come to this job through Instagram. What I look for on a wedding day is the same thing on both sides of the Atlantic: the love two families carry for one couple, on one single day. A father watching his daughter walk out of the château. A grandmother laughing at a cousin's toast. Two mothers meeting properly for the first time on the dance floor.

I stay discreet during the emotional moments and I talk with the families when it helps them relax. Not a ghost, not an entertainer. A witness placed at the right spot, at the right time.

My working method on the day

A few things I do consistently on a Provence château wedding:

If you want a second photographer, a short film clip from a friend, or coverage of a rehearsal dinner the night before at a village restaurant, we talk about it openly and only if it makes sense for you.

Honest pricing, explained line by line

I speak plainly with couples, because you are adults planning a serious day, not a target for a sales pitch. A full château wedding in Provence is real work: long hours in the heat, a proper backup workflow, and weeks of editing afterwards, and I price it for exactly that. What I refuse to do is dress a quote up in vague talk about being an artist to justify a number no one can explain. I will tell you what each part of the coverage costs and why.

If your budget does not match what I offer, I will say so plainly, and when I can I will point you toward someone serious. Respecting a couple also means never selling them something they do not need.
